Upgradeing to a nvidia card advice needed

Hello,
I own A dell 730 hc but due to its configuration and dells lack of driver updates for my system I am forced to replace my current two 3870x2 my video card with a nvidia card any suggestions for a good upgrade to my previous card?
a c 1392 U Graphics card
a c 158 Î Nvidia

2 x GTX460 1 Gb in SLI or a single GTX480.

while I'm more of a stay green & quiet kind so I will be tryin 2x GTX 460 SLI(and use one for PhysX nd other solely for gaming) instead of a single 480. ;)

Ive searched all over the web for the comparisons to the 3870cross fire x =, how big of a upgrade is the 460 compared to my current cards?

2 gtx 460 are good but you might want to check out the new nvidia gts 450

wow i never knew such a site existed thank you man, the only thing that concerns me about the 3870 has a higher core cloak then the 460 or is that irrelvant compared to its other features?

Totally irrelevant, it would be akin to comparing diesel engines from five years ago to a high performance petrol engine made today, not only do they do what they do differently but they are years apart in development and tech.

Remarkable I believe you still it feels so strange but thats the beauty of the passage of time another think that makes it hard for me to part with my current card is becasue they were ment to be crossfire x but at this point i cant even make use of what this system was born to do
