The problem with you current MOBO is the DDR2 RAM. So IF you're going to upgrade you might as well start from scratch. The new AM3+ MOBO's with the 990FX chipset is where I'd be looking, but the gains will be small based upon a 'new MOBO' alone.
Your CPU is supported by ALL versions of the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3, but no built-in Wi-Fi. Regarding W-Fi, it's not a good idea for Desktops to use Wi-Fi: 1. Slow and Unpredictable speeds, 2. High Lags; instead I recommend CAT-5/6 or PowerLine networking (see below / the newer models are 500Mbps). PowerLine -> http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategor...
Thanks a lot for your help.
I am going to buy the GA-990FXA-UD3 mobo. And as for the networking I'm going to get a wireless card because I hook my pc up to my 60" HDTV in the family room and that's why I would need a wireless Nic because there is no wired connection in the familyroom, But I did like that power line adapter so I may consider that.
