GA-965P-S3 memory issue

Forum Motherboards & Memory : Memory GA-965P-S3 memory issue

Word :    Username :

I recently purchased 8GB of 800mhz RAM for my Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 (v1.0) motherboard.

I can get 3 of them to work at a time, but not 4. I've switched around all 4 chips, and they all work, but there seems to be a problem with the last memory slot. Even when I put a different brand of RAM into the 4th slot, it doesn't post. It either sits there doing nothing, or it gives me a constant beeeeeep.

I upgraded my BIOS to F14. Is there a problem with the 4th memory slot, or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
J

Strange - I've gotten 3 emails now telling me someone posted an answer, but there isn't one...

Unless it's actually me that's answering myself...
