Three monitors with one graphics card?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum so forgive me if this is posted in the wrong section. I am building a new system at the moment, and was thinking of getting the GTX460 (or maybe wait for the ATI 6000 series) and using it with two monitors. Unexpectedly someone has given me a free 22" monitor so now I have three. I was wondering if it's possible to use all three with a single card.

I know the 460 has two DVI and a mini-HDMI port. What do you guys think?

I would appreciate all the advice.

With thanks,

Ab

Hi guys,

I'm just putting a new system together and was thinking of getting the 1GB GTX460, but then heard that ATI may be releasing new 6000 series cards.

I don't really know much about these, but do you guys think it's worth waiting for these and does anyone has more information about them - release date, price, specs, benchmarks etc.

Thanks in advance for the help.

With thanks,

Ab

A GTX 460 can only run two monitors at any one time.

There was no need for two threads and as for the 6000 series it will be released soon and have a price but the specs are still clouded in mystery and as no one has one the benchmarks have yet to be seen.

Do know which cards can run 3 monitors, and aren't insanely expensive?

Thanks

I recon a 5670 would be pretty good at it if you dont want to spend that much
