Hi, I'm getting ready to purchase most of the parts for my new build. I've built one before and I just want to know if anyone has any opinions on these parts or has any experience with them.

Processor: Intel i7 970 (Buying this through work at a great price, otherwise I would never spend this much on just a processor)
Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth X58 MoBo
RAM: OCZ Reaper HPC R2 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (Would there be any advantage going with more than 6 GB's or would that be plenty?) Ram
Case: Thermaltake V9 BlacX Edition- This seemed to have everything I needed in a case at a good price. Case
PSU: Is this going to be enough?
VGA: I'm thinking of going with this card because the reviews are good. I am a somewhat avid gamer but not necessarily ones that require incredible machines to run so I think this will be fine.
SSD: OCZ Agility 2 60 GB, This will be used as a boot drive
HDD: I am interested in running a RAID 0 setup. Does anyone have any suggestions on HDD's for this. 500 or so GB capacity is fine

I think that is it for the important stuff. If anyone has a suggestion for a good CPU cooler than I would be interested. Any suggestions for other parts are welcome. Thanks

Here is some even faster memory for the same price.

For a case I would go with a Haf 912 or an Antec 300 Illusion. Better cooling in both.

Better PSU for the same price. Plenty of power to add a second GTX460.

I for an SSD either the Crucial C300 or GSkill Phoenix Pro or OCZ Vertex 2. All are close to equal in performance.

If you want backup hard drives use Spinpoint F3s. Super fast and reliable and cheap. 1TB models have been on sale here recently for $55. Check Superbiiz I think it was.

Get a Coolermaster Hyper 212+ for a cooler. Only about $20 on newegg.

Edit: RAM is more expensive not the same price sorry.

^ Nice build, but I would suggest different PSU and RAM though,...

PSU - OCZ PSUs in general are fine, but not that 700W, check this combo
XFX HD 5850 + XFX 650W

RAM - This would be very good

Or this if overclocking

And stick with 6GB for general usage they are more than enough...

CPU Cooler -
If upto 4GHz overclock

Else you can try the Scythe Mugen 2 Rev.B with another fan in Push-Pull, it would easily allow to reach 4GHz...
