More about comp build
  1. GTX 580 is completely overkill for running WoW.Consider GTX 460 instead. It can handle WoW fine on 1080p resolution.
As for PSU,go with Corsair VX550(No need for a 1000W PSU if you aren't planing to run multiple cards).
Other specs look fine(and for CPU,stick with i7 950,WoW doesn't benefit from 6 core CPUs)
  2. I know it is over kill but what would be better the 580gtx in sli or the Asus Ares? I already have the 1000w psu so... Also what mother board and monitor should i go with?
  3. 2 GTX 580s are better.
As for monitor, how much do you want to spend ? what screen size do you need and do you need a 3D monitor or not ?
  4. he is using a 30 inch monitory. I'm guessing 1920x1080 if its an HDTV , but it could be 2560 x 1600, in which case a 580 is only a little overkill.
  5. If its 1080p,then even 1 GTX 460 can handle WoW fine, but if its anything higher, then you are right.A more powerful card is recommended.
  6. Dont want to spend more then about $500 for a monitor and no she dont need 3D

    Is this one good?

Also what about the Motherboard Any idea on witch one i should go with?
  7. with that monitor, you can drive with a GTX 460 and save a BUNCH of money.

Any X58 mobo should do what you need
  8. Right^
That monitor is fine, and like i mentioned, a GTX 460 can run WoW perfectly fine on 1080p.
As for motherboard, ASUS P6X58D-E is a good choice.
