Help With I7 Build

Welcome.

You've made a common mistake. i7 does not mean LGA 1366. There are i7 processors for LGA 1156 (P55 boards) and there are i7s for X58 boards (LGA 1366).

So, get a i7-950 instead.

i see,i thought it i saw it had tri channel some where but guess it was something else.

while looking at that combo i came across this.

^ The only weak link I see in that combo is the PSU - It is overrated, just 60A on the 12V rail for a 900W PSU? The Corsair 750W has 60A on its 12V rail...

thanks for pointing that out, i don't know much about psu's and such.

Yep.
Most of those ABS power supplies are made by ATNG. Some of them are adequate or even good, but I have no solid info on that one. The actual label on the unit says 66A, not 60A. It's low still for a PSU rated at 900W continuous, but not an indicator of quality on it's own... the very high quality Antec Signature 850W is only 65A.

yeah its saving me about $40+ buck going with this over the 900w.

Was planing on going with the black case at first but im gonna grab the white one.

Later down the line i may add single sleeved white cables to match the case.

You need an optical drive also.

^hd is the biggest rip ever.
get the samsung spinpoint f3 1tb, or seagate barracuda 7200.12 1tb, whichever is cheaper at the time.

sure if you want.the reviews Ive read say the fans that come standard are fine,i just id take advantage of the extra fan.
