Hi Guys,

I have been experiencing some problems with my stock ASUS EAH5850 for running specifically Final Fantasy 14, it doesn't have any problems with any other games however. Basically it was spiking on anything dynamic in the game. I wont go into how I worked out is was the card here as it is in detail in a separate forum that i will link below:

Just a friendly warning to anyone looking to update their system to play this game, dont buy the stock ASUS EAH5850, the overclocked TOP model is fine however, hope this saves someone some hassles cause it took me a week to sort this problem out

:)

Agree. If your HD5850 is working normally then i'm pretty sure you can play that game with decent setting.
Just like rolli59 said above: "Maybe something was wrong with your first card".
