Whenever i try to run in dual channel mode with the memory sticks in slots 1 and 2 or 1,2,3,4 my computer will not post.
Does anyone have any idea why this is?

I put each of the four stick in slot one and each individual dimm posted. When i had the memory in 3 and 4, it would not post. However while trying to post, the fan which i believe was the cpu fan was pulsating slightly. You could hear it ramp up, stay at a high rpm and then come down a little bit. This would repeat like it was hunting. I don't think the memory is bad unless it can go bad in dual channel and work in single channel. Could that be possible?
