GTX 470 and Q6600 @ 3.24Ghz

Hi, can i use this combination without bottleneck? My full spec is:

Intel Core2Quad 2.4Ghz@3.24Ghz
GIGABYTE EP45-DS3R
4GB RAM OCZ 1066Mhz
TAGAN 600W
Windows Vista x64

So is this a good combination? Or better is HD5850?

I think a high spec 4xxx ati series or 5xxx series if you want dx11.

Or you could get a nice cheap 9800 gt or 250 gts

and that combo should be fine.

    Yup, no bottleneck, great combination.
  3. Yes, you'll be fine with that setup, Quad Core at 3.24 is FAST enough to play any games with decent setting (in this case GTX470).
Well, GTX470 is a little faster than HD5850, but produce more heat. So as long as you have good airflow inside your case then go for that card. :)
  4. Errrr, better than what? the GTX470?
Go for the HD5850..... it's cheaper, offers nearly the same performance and works a lot less hotter :)
Save some money and save the planet.... :)
  5. Yeah, any mid-high spec 5xxx series will be great.
  6. 470 is better than 5850

Power wont be a problem.Just get good airflow in your case as wa1 said.If you are still concerned about power get the GTX 470 SOC from gigabyte. It performs almost as good as the 5870.
