More about just replaced 9800gt
  1. Did you driversweep the olde Nvidia drivers and do a fresh install of the newest Nvidia drives from the website?
  2. Are you sure the 6pin power connector is properly attached?
Update driver with the latest one?
  3. yes done drivers and i think the 6 pin connector is propery attached how could i find out if they are or not?
  4. by the way it has 2 6 pin connectors and i have both attached
  5. Well, usually you can "feel" it whether you attached it right or wrong...
BTW, what is your PSU? brand? model?
  6. er dont know its 450w though could it be that i have a processor with no l3 cache?
  7. Nope, the CPU wont hold you back to this extent.

What games/res are you playing at however?
  8. arma 2 at 1980x1080
  9. Check your CPU usage with task-manager when you're playing the game.

ARMA 2, IIRC is one of the CPU-intensive games, and your CPU might be holding things back.
  10. cool just ordered a phenom x4 black edition 3.4ghz hopefully that should sort it! thanks folks
  11. i do hope that 450w psu is a corsair/silverstone/ocz.

you can't blame the processor as according to you, you're 9800gt was producing better fps than the 460.
