Hello,
I'm about to upgrade my system...
currently I have these specs...

my case I'm going to keep..
which is my MESH one.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600

RAM: 3GB DDR2

Motherboard: P5N32-SLI-SE-Deluxe

Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 7950 GT

Harddrive: 500GB which is split to about 250GB to make two hardrives essentially.

What I'm upgrading is my Graphics card, Motherboard and CPU and RAM..
but what I need to know is if I will need anything else?
like.. will I need more power supply or so on..

This is what I'm getting anyhow:

Gigabyte Motherboard GA-H55M-S2 Intel H55 Core I7/ I5/ I3 LGA1156 DDR3 MATX

Gigabyte HD5570 1GB GDDR5 HDMI DVI-I DirectX11

Intel CPU Core I3 540 3.06GHz Clarkdale Core LGA1156

will there be any conflicts between what I have and what I'm getting? or so on..
any suggestions will be gratefully recieved =]

I'm in the UK, but isn't it better than what I already have?
as I can play most games except the very newest ones on the best settings
and my upgrade budget is about..
£150..
as my mother is buying my motherboard and cpu (it may be that she is buying the video card instead, not entirely sure on that front)
but if you can advise me what type of Graphics Card would be suitable instead of that one I would be grateful =]
that graphics card would have cost me £70, atm I currently only have abolut £40 but I intend to have about £150 by Christmas... possibly more

I've never been very keen on AMD. Never really got on well with them xd
I prefer to stick with Asus and such if I can.
You know those past experiences that taint all your possible future encounters
well... yeah... so I tend to stick with Asus and Nvidia as they have always been really good in my opinion =]
Thanks though I can see it took you a bit of time to find all that =]

Well, lately for low and low-mid budget systems AMD runs circles around Intel. Intel is good for expensive rigs. I switched to AMD from Intel and I'm happy. Asus is good too for motherboards. Come back when you have the money and we'll find something.

DDR3 isn't faster than DDR2. DDR 2/800 ~ DDR3 1333.

well... my setup when I got it was about £1100 xd
and well.. I kind of need to upgrade as soon as possible..
got some things to do on here that will be labour intensive..
my mum is happy to pay up to around £200..
and I'll have about £150 or so

will they support multiple screens?
as I have a couple of screens I would like to attach
which is one of the reasons I was getting the other graphics card
as I think it supported it
