Building a new computer soon for school

I will be doing a new computer build soon, sometime around late january and was hoping to get some advice on the build which needs to be able to meet my needs.

This computer will be for pretty much everything like school, gaming and daily web serfing/media. My school work consists of using mostly zbrush, 3d Studio Max, Photoshop CS5, and UDK. For gaming I play Battlefeild BC2 alot along with any other PC game that I might be playing.

Budget - $2,000ish

OS - Windows 7
Case - COOLER MASTER HAF X
Mother Board - ASUS Rampage III Extreme
CPU - Intel Core i7-950
CPU Fan - COOLER MASTER V6 GT
Video Card - GeForce GTX 580
Ram - CORSAIR DOMINATOR 12GB ((3x4gb) ddr3 1600)
Hard Drive - Western Digital WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM
SSD - WD SiliconEdge Blue SSC-D0064SC-2100 2.5" 64GB (for Windows 7, Photoshop CS5, zbrush, etc)
Power - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V

If you do end up switching anything out of the build, if you wouldn't mind epxlaing why i'd be really grateful.

if you are building in January, get Sandy Bridge. Its due out on January 5.

The market will see a revolution soon in terms of motherboards, CPUs and GPUs so it's really hard to give advice now with such a co-incidence of events just around the corner.
