Okay, so I have this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... which only has an x16 slot. I am looking into buying a GTX 470 Super OC series. Will the x16 slot effect the performance? Or can these cards not even use to the full capability of x16 yet.

PCI-E 1.0 had half the bandwidth per lane as 2.0 has, so a PCI-E 1.0 16x slot will run at the same bandwidth as a PCI-E 2.0 8x slot, you will take a slight performance hit from running it in that slot but not a ton, only about 5%.

Hello,

Could you please post your full system specifications in order to make sure your system is not bottlnecking the videocard or any parts that needs to be replaced before purchase?

Regards.

Q6600 @ 2.8GHz (yes, a small OC, but I will push it to 3.2 soon), 4GB DDR2 800 5-5-5-12, 320GB 7200 RPM Seagate Barracuda HD (yes this is somewhat of a BN for load times), Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro Series Sound Card, 700W GameXStream OCZ PS. I currently have an 8800GTX 768MB and can only run BC2 at medium settings with 40 FPS framerate. I'm feeling the 470 will let me push everything to the max, as the Q6600 is still a good processor.

+that motherboard listed (PCI Express X16 slot)
