Speakers are freaking out?

ok so my PC has been working fine now for over a year i believe and i put it on hibernate last night as i went to bed, when i woke it wouldnt even boot. so i unpluged everything and plugged it all back in and it boots up, but theres Xtreme static and high pitch buzzing from the speakers? anyone happed to know the problem or cause and maybe a solution?

do it fluctuate during mouse scroll etc or is it the same all the time?

audio cable plug that is not plugged in all the way...a broken solder connection or broken audio connector inside the computer, or at the input jack of the speaker...a bad audio cable between the computer and the speaker input....
dirt / corrosion inside the audio jack or on the audio cable plugs
wiggle each connection gently one at a time to narrow the location of the problem.
