Hi, i wanna buy this graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 5670 and i have this mobo: Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2C.
Will the card work with the mobo? It says that the card has PCI Express 2.1 and in the mobo specs it says that it has PCI Express x16.
Is it the same? Will it work?

Thanks in advance!

get an ATI 5670 ver 2.0 rather then 2.1

ATI works just fine with Intel, Nvidia with AMD and vice versa

So if i'll get the 2.1 ver the card wont work at all? Or it'll work in a speed of a 2.0 one?

depends if the mobo has a BIOS upgrade to support 2.1 cards. you would need to check with the manufacturer

We'll be more safe if we get that 2.0 version... :)
You won't see much different going from 2.1 to 2.0 version.

First check if the motherboard has an updated bio's that enables it to support ver 2.1, If it can use it get it.

Its a little hassle, for a little increase. but all in all its worth it.

increase in what? performance wise they would be exactly the same. you would need to have a 3.0 slot to see the difference and its just improved card/mobo management
