How can 6gb ram be 7.4 and 4 gb ram be 7.1 in windows rating

Hello,
I want to know i have 4gb ram on my laptop and the rating is 7.1 and my friend has 6gb but the rating is 7.4.
My question is for 2 gb ram the rating only increases by 0.3 cus i dont think it is posible can anyone explain this?
