I am looking for people's advice on the following build / plan:
1. My planned spec will be:
Antec 300
Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz
Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 Intel P55
Corsair XMS3 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C7 1600MHz Single Channel Module
Freezer Xtreme Rev.2 High Performance Quiet CPU Cooler
Corsair TX 850W ATX SLI Compliant Power Supply
Two ATI HD 5850 1GB PCI Express Graphics Cards
60GB Solid State SATA II Drive as Primary
Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB - Shrunk
Suitable Blue-ray optical Drive
This seems a good fit for my requirements, but I wouldn't mind others' views.
The main issue I have though!! I can't afford it all at the same time and I need a plan to build it and use it asap.
2. My plan:
Firstly buy
Antec 300
Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz
Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 Intel P55
Corsair XMS3 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C7 1600MHz Single Channel Module
- Initially use stock CPU Fan
- Purchase a cheaper PSU temporarily (OcUK Swift 650W Silent Power Supply) which is £100 cheaper than the planned PSU
- Use Motherboard Graphics
- Use already owned Hard Disk / Optical Drive
Over the next few months, I'll then be able to buy the remainder of the 'wanted' components in the following order:
Month 1 - Corsair TX 850W ATX SLI Compliant Power Supply
Month 2 - Freezer Xtreme Rev.2 High Performance Quiet CPU Cooler
- Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB - Shrunk
Month 3 - ATI HD 5850 1GB PCI Express Graphics Cards x 1
Month 4 - 60GB Solid State SATA II Drive as Primary
Future months will get extra Graphic Card / Optical Drives and extra 4gb memory modules
It seems a good plan to me, but I am completely willing to hear other peoples opinions before I kick this off (cheaper / better value options). I am based in the UK.
Thanks Kindly
Jake
