GTX4870 HDMI not working

I have a Sharp TV with an HDMI port in the back. I had a GTX470 with two DVIs and one HDMI. I went HDMI to HDMI from PC to computer and it is not detecting the second display. The cable works fine with my Sony Handycam. What else could be the problem?

Some cards can not use HDMI and DVI at the same time.

Please explain your second sentence... What do you mean, PC to computer? Do you mean PC to TV? PC to computer monitor?

I'm sorry I was frustrated and that was poorly worded. I meant to say I'm going HDMI to HDMI from my PC to my TV. At the same time I'm going DVI to DVI from my PC to my PC's monitor. When I go into the display settings it isn't picking up my TV as an alternative display.

Make sure your TV is on and the correct input is selected and see if it works then
