Hi guys.

My brother recently ask me to build a system for him. I fought gr8 I love to do that .
I spend maybe 12h choosing the best components (bang per dollar) and then he told me that he don't care about gaming at all, he just want to do 3d graphic and this changed everything ( he is already pretty good in 2d graphic)
Unfortunately I've never read about 3d applications requirement before .Then I read a numbers of other forums and i have
really confusing image.

shell i go for specialized 3d card (examples please and why ) card but what sort of price shell i expect and what performance

or just stick to regular card (examples please and why )

i don't known anything about specialized 3d card

I've read that 3d applications use multiple core( hence six core or i5 760)
they need a lot off ram ( hence 8gb )
and only a couple of percents of normal gaming gpu but I don't know anything abut price and
perfomance of those specialized card

maybe this

AMD Phenom II X6 Six Core 1055T 2.80GHz (Socket AM3) or I5 760
ram8 gb 4x2
MOBO: something with usb 3 support)
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX460 768MB DDR5 192bit PCI-E (GV-N460OC-768I) or gtx 460 1MB 256 bit
CASE: any cheap one,

I would more than grateful for any comments or links ( yeas I"ve tried google )

Please any ideas for system under 600 pound sterling ??
Sorry for all spelling mistakes English is not my first language.
price without monitor and optical drive

Best regards

3D creation software (like Maya and 3D Studio Max) just needs a lot of strong computing and GPU power.

I'd get the 6-core, but I'd consider the 1075 instead of the 1055 (especially since the 1075 is only $199.99 right now at newegg), as ist a 3.0/ turbo 3.5 GHz processor.

With combo savings at NewEgg (assuming you need a copy of Windows) and a 450 instead of the 4770, you can get out the door for $715, not including MIR.
