Hey all,

For my specific build im trying to decide between these two particular MB, so which one is really better?
(Note: this is for a gaming rig using i5 2600k, HD 6950 or GTX 560 Ti, and 8 GB of RAM)

MSI Z68A GD65 / G3 vs. Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P

Also, a question about the MSI Z68A board, in the description for the RAM you will notice that the default max ram speed is at 1333 MHZ and for 1600 and 2133MHZ it needs to be overclocked, what does that mean? does it mean if I plug in a Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 then I would need to overclock it so that it run at it 1600MHZ speed?!

Would really appreciate some help here.

The gigabyte doesn't have onboard video ports; if you don't need them, get it. Both are about the same quality. Most boards default to 1066 or 1333 for the ram speed. All you do is change the memory setting from "auto" to "manual" and select your ram speed. To go past 1600, you would need to overclock the cpu on most boards. Go to both boards webpage and download the motherboard manuals and check out the bios options. It only takes a few minutes.
