Choosing a Motherboard

Hi all, this is my first time customizing a PC for myself, so I've come to the important decision of choosing a motherboard. I'm going to be using this rig for gaming for the next 4-5 years, so I have few questions. Currently though, this is the mobo I've chosen:

Intel i7 2700k Processor
ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z motherboard.

Currently I'm in a bit confused..what I've learnt is that the maximus supports tri-SLI at x8/x16/x16. I've acutally discovered a few so called non-gaming Mobos that do x16/x16/x16 but use the x58 chipset, compared to the newer z68.

Is there any mobo that combines the best of both worlds? In short z68 with x16/x16/x16 support?

Or even better, the newer LGA 2011 Chips--will they feature x16/x16/x16/x16 (4 X16) support?

Thanks for any answers!

Thanks! That really clarified a lot a lot of doubts for me :)

So am I right to assume this will most likely apply for the Z68 boards as well? that it will trounce x58 despite its x16/x16/x16 config? Since Z68 is basically a better P67..
