Hi, i wondered what the BEST graphics cards on the market today are.
also some upcoming ones?
Thanks and also is the fx4800 really that good?

Well according to Tom's Hardware, the BEST single graphics card (for gaming) on the market is the AMD HD5970. The best single GPU graphics card is the Nvidia GTX480.

So you would have to search for the manufacurer that puts out the best version of each of those cards. For AMD, I would assume the Asus Ares ROG, and for Nvidia, I'm going to say the KFA2 GTX480 LTD OC, with honorable mention to the MSI GTX480 Twin Frozr II, and the Gigabyte GTX480 Superoverclock.

Of course, even better cards are expected from both AMD and Nvidia by the end of the year.

I am a enthusiast with around 9,000$ in my pocket, so i am building a rig
Im planning on getting quad gpus, 4x gtx480?
ANY card but the best onesthat can run 4 at the same time
MOBO: asus rqampage iii

I would have to say that quad GTX480's are the only way to go for you then. They will give you ultimate performance, but you will need to think carefully about the cooling and overall setup.
This is a review of the GTX480 in quad SLI:

For air cooling the KFA2 GTX480 is the best, but it is only sold in Europe. The MSI or Gigabyte versions should be next on the list.

Hopefully that Asus Rampage III has plenty of space around the PCIe graphics card slots to accomodate larger non-reference coolers. If you are going for water cooling, then there are several other good options available.

For additional inspiration, check out this article for the Guru3d.com "Rig of the Month", which uses quad-SLI GTX480's:
