Hi
I have three Asus motherboards p5gd1-vm/s p5sd1-fm2/s & p5gd2 deluxe They all freeze at 34 minutes when loading windows. Have changed cpu,mem,g/card,h/d,psu. Is there a way of updating the boards chipsets with out using windows.
Thank you
John

Chipset NO.. Bios yes if you can get your hands on a bootable floppy or usb device with Dos on it, you will need two files including the boot stuff,1,the new bios and, 2, the flash utility, get all from Asus web site...Could be that your source cd or whatever, is corrupted too,34 min on 3 mobo's,,hmmmm......:)

I have used three different Genuine win xp disks. Updated the bios on the p5gd2 deluxe ok but the other two I get cannot read or open rom file using dos .Down loaded from Asus site. The first two are out of oem machines which were I should get the bios updates from I think , but I can't find from which ones.
