I am upgrading my PC. This is what i currently have:

ATI 3850
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ 2.49 GHz
RAM 2GB DDR2
According to ASTRA32 this is my motherboard: Board Model; MSI MS-7369.
I have a 450 watt power supply.

This is what i am planning on buying:

ATI 5850
Core i5-760
ASUS Sabertooth 55i.
"Cooler Master Elite 430 MATX miditower no PSU"

So my question is do I have to upgrade my power supply?
Any other advice is welcome :)

We need a little more background in order to fully help you. What are you planning on doing with this pc? I am going to assume gaming based on the large jump in gpu's. I would invest in 4gb of ram g.skill has some excellent deals right now on newegg. Also is the tower a micro atx like the name suggests? if so your current mobo will not fit I suggest the coolermaster 912 it is cheap and has plenty of features.

Thank you for the quick reply :) yes i'm planning on gaming. In the Specifications it says it supports both MATX and ATX.

It really depends on which 450 watt PSU that you have.

Some can produce more than their rated power. And some will self-destruct trying.

Do you have enough power connectors on that power supply for the new card and the 8 pin atx board power connector? it's gonna require 2 molex plugs for the gpu card power adapters or 2 - 6 pin pci-e connectors. I don't think yours has all that So yes, you will need to get something very dependable as a psu so you don't undervolt and ruin your new equipment. Here's a nice Thermaltake TR2 W0388RU 600W ATX 12V v2.2 Power Supply for only $35 after rebate. Or a better deal and in my opinion better psu is this OCZ StealthXstream II OCZ600SXS2 600W ATX12V v2.2/ EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Power Supply for only $30 after rebate. I'm sorry but did I miss something? I don't see a memory upgrade and your DDR2 ain't gonna work on that board. Here's some nice G.SKILL ECO Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-4GBECO for $80. Are you gonna use the stock cpu cooler? Soes it come with one. If not you are going to need one of those also.

The stock should be fine at stock speeds as long as you have good air flow through your case. Once you start overclocking I find a Lot of people are now using the COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus Intel Core i5 & Intel Core i7 compatible RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm "heatpipe direct contact" Long life sleeve CPU Cooler. Only thing is you need to make sure it will fit in your case. It is 158.5mm tall so check that before you buy.

I almost always suggest that people buy a new cpu cooler. They will run you around 40 $ for a quality one. Not all stock coolers are bad just the majority.
