i need a good graphics card that runs most games on high with a 1024x768 res my budget is round 250 thanks

GTS250 or HD4850 is enough to maxed out everything at 1024x768.
Yes, agree with ct1615, how can we suggest if we're lack of info of the OP specs...

$250 is way too much to spend on a card for that resolution. The most you should be considering is an HD5770 like suggested above and that is actually overkill really. Anything more powerful is pointless unless you are going to upgrade your monitor.

both cheap and the first one also eat less. + both are way cheap

BBUUTT personaly,
jvjjy is right u should get another screen cuz spending so much for tht resolution isnt wise.

i guess the safest option is the HD5670 since it uses hardly any power.
