Finding part number for gateway p6831fx motherboard

if so go to Gateway support page...but most Pre-build machines dont really have a part number on it..

I'm assuming p6831fx is a laptop. In that case, it probably has a model designation possibly on a little white label somewhere on it, usually close to the edge and sometimes on the bottom. it varies for motherboard laptops. 9 times out of 10, you can only replace it with the same motherboard.
