Getting a old card

Will it be wise to get a GTS 250 for now? I mean because in a few months time most card are going to be outdated cause the ATI 6000 series is coming out.Most games are still running at Microsoft direct x10.The gts 250 also supports HD right?

You know that card performs, but is a generation behind and perhaps about to be another behind. It's up to you.

is the stock version better or XFX.Theres a huge difference in prices.

My friend also gave me a advice not to get the stock version as the fans are small. He said is probably better to get a bigger one for cooling.

Well i thought over it the price is about half of a Nvidia GTX 460. which i think i will plan to get.Who knows,maybe after i buy that card,all the games are for Microsoft direct X 11

If you want to game at 1920 resolution, the 460 is the correct card to buy today.
