Incompatibility

Hi,

Im going to build a pc for my school for around $300 and here's the problem,I am trying to pair this mobo:

http://www.deltapage.com/products.php?product=Asus-MotherBoard-%252d-M4N68T%252dM-LE-V2

with this ram:

http://www.deltapage.com/products.php?product=Corsair-RAM-Desktop-DDR3-2GB--1333FSB-Value-Select

the problem is that this memory is not on the Qualified Vendor List.Is it advisable to do this?

Any help is appreciated!

  1. Yes, they should work together

Asus mobos are very RAM sensitive IME. The QVL list however is just a selection that Asus qualified on the mobo when new. There are many other RAM kits that will work fine.

Corsair has a RAM selector on their website which will show you the Corsair RAM that they recommend for each specific model mobo based on their validation. As noted by "zhongyan" in theory the RAM you selected should work but with Asus mobos being sensitive to RAM it's worth checking with Corsair Tech Support via e-mail if the RAM doesn't show in their online RAM selector.
