Hi

I have:
- Intel Pentium E6300 Wolfdale 2.8GHz
- ASUS P5QPL-AM
- 2 sticks of 2GB (total 4gb) DDR2 800MHz PC2-6400 CL6

I overclocked my processor to 333 x 10.5 wich is 3.5ghz on stock voltages.

the thing is CPU-Z says my ratio is 2:3 and DRAM frequency is 500mhz so x 2 is 1000mhz right?

everything seems to be runing ok Prime95 didnt give me any errors. Is this good, bad, should i lower it or it whould be better if i whould run it at 1:1 ratio and how to accoplish that with oced processor, the mobo wont allow me to go over 350 fsb on any multiplier?

Welcome to Tom's Forum! :)

IF CPU-z is showing 500MHz as 'DRAM Frequency' as shown below then correct the RAM is running above spec (OC). IMO - test the OC with Prime95 + Blend and 2~4 passes of Memtest.

Ideally yes a 1:1 is best, I would have assumed that you also would have increased the FSB. Most folks who OC the E6300 increase the FSB and then match the Memory frequency for the 1:1 {FSB 500MHz : RAM 500MHz}.

In this example the RAM is running at DDR3-1067:

Thanks and at stock fsb 266 the Dram frequency is at 400mhz but if i rise the fsb the dram frequency also gets higher, how can i still keep it at my ram specs and at 1:1 ratio?
