Help ... stuck mid install ... spdif cable grrrr

Hoping somebody can advise me on a silly mid-installation issue I'm having.

Pretty sure it's called my SPDIF cable. It's the small thin cable on my video card beside the two six pin plugs ( on my old gtx 260 ). I'm trying to remove the cable from my old 260 without damaging it, but it really feels super tight in there.

Is there a trick to removing these small cables? Are they supposed to pull straight out? Or is there a special way to do it?

Yes, it's the SPDIF cable that goes from the Mobo or the Sound card to the 260, all you need to do it use a stitching needle, the thinnest one you can find and pry it really slowly out but you need to maintain it at an angle to free the small lock sort of thing it has to catch hold of it.
