You can also use the tab key to issue console commands. :)

Checked my FPS, it's avarage 40fps, during game play can go down to 20
fps. I have an ATI Wonder Redon 9600 128 mg video card.
Is that good?
Game quality is very good!

Mine is perfect at 40 fps. I don't notice any thing bad. Had the ATI
7500 before, it had some problems, like wireframe see through and slow
downs, jerky video.
May be you have to come down on resolution, 1024 rather than 1280.

ut2004 at 40 fps is bad.
anything under 60 is bad for online play.
locally maybe, but online, 40 sux big time.
at least for me, i am dead at 50 fps.

I always play at less than 40 FPS & the gameplay is smooth with no problems
whatsoever. Some people get so caught up in FPS when it is quite playable
at lower levels. I've played at 20 FPS & visually it still appears smooth
to play.

I'm not worried. Gameplay is smooth,I never even used stat fps until I was
curious. I don't need some number to tell me if the game is running
smoothly :p  The gameplay is not at all jerky, everything is enabled so I
have no complaints. I could care less what the FPS number is it's only
relevant if things weren't moving smoothly. Graphics cards aren't something
to brag about, that's just silly :)

why dont you use a trident 512 kb then?
hell, even onvoard video works with ut2004. why dont you use that?
or a 9200, or even a 7500?8500? a riva tnt2ultra? that workd too with
ut2004. 30 fps, but it is smooth!!!!

why did you buy a 9600? and not an older card? just a waste of money, huh?

You're getting your quotes confused, someone else bought the 9600 but you
replied to one of my replies.

Sounds to me like you're the one that needs to be convinced that this
person can't detect the difference in the framerates. Maybe his/her
eyes aren't that good, who knows. But you keep telling them what their
opinion still is based on some bonehead "facts" given by someone that
is basically in bed with the people who want you to buy their
videocards.
