Is it possible to build a file Sharing server for $200 or less. Got any experience with these types of projects.

Got Advice on what i should do- Hard Drives Motherboards, etc

Or would i be better off buying something like this D-Link DNS-321 Diskless System 2-Bay Network Storage Enclosure

This all depends what you already have to work with.

Do you have a case? Power supply? Hard drives?

List what you need if you are like me I have enough spare parts to at least half build 3 computers.

For under 200 you could do something like this.

Grab some RAM a small case and slap a couple of hard drives and a small power supply and your done looking at about @200.

Dont forget the most important part the processor. I use a AMD Athlon II x3 they are pretty cheap.

And just grab a basic motherboard and a few gigs of RAM and you are good to go. Depending on how many users will be connecting the most important part will be fast hard drives I recommend WD Cavier Black.
