Could my motherboard support a cpu thats not on the list?

I have a Biostar a760g m2+, would a athlon II x3 450 3.2ghz work in my motherboard? it says it supports a athlon II x3 440 3.0ghz?

No, as it won't have BIOS support, which is necessary.

Many times happened that the cpu is not listed but it's supported. I think this is the case for you. I am pretty sure that x3 450 will work just fine.
You should send an email to Biostar to be 100% sure and also maybe they will send you a newer bios version.

yes hefox your right i just got email from them saying that my motherboard supports it and i dont need to update my bios! AWESOME!
