HELP: WIN98 Explorer Sort Order

PROBLEM - in the WIN98 Explorer I want my right pane to always show the files in alphabetical order.

I can TEMPORARILY get them to by using View, Arrange Icons, By Name, OR by clicking above the Names.

However, the next time I come back to the folder it is again sorted by Date (which I do not want)

I have obviously done something wrong to my settings!

Can someone advise how to fix this? I couldn't find anything in the help or on the web (pathetic I know!)

Click on Folder Options in the "View" menu while in explorer. Select the View tab and make sure the the box that says "Remeber each folders view settings" is checked.
If its not, check it and the next time you choose to sort by name it should stay that way.

Thanks - I tried that but it does not work!

I still get everything sorted by date.

I even tried additionally using "RESET ALL FOLDERS"
and "MAKE ALL FOLDERS LIKE CURRENT"

Wish I could get the darn things back to alphabetizing properly, SIGH!
