hi,
yesterday i was in a computer store and saw a non branded h61 mobo for just 20$(i live in india).i cant imagine such a low price, they are giving 2 yrs warranty and they said these motherboards are quite dependable although i dont trust him.
My friend blindly bought that mobo along with a core i3 2100. and i was shocked that it worked, worked like a charm with his gtx 460 768mb.I m just curious about it, although i only buy branded things , are they really reliable. my friend is more than happy.

There is no way to know how reliable they are other than using one.

Some companies produce "white box" products, i.e. no name, for OEMs and if there is excess production they sell them cheap. If it works, it works. If it's no name however I would not expect any customer support other than an exchange mobo if your friend has a hardware issue with the mobo.

thanks for the reply,
the motherboaord was not even packed in a box, just in a thick plastic bag :D
me and my friend has a good friendship with the guy and he just replaces anything without any questions and many of them actually run.
since i only use gigabyte products only.

my little brother has a really low budget and he wants a deamon gaming pc:D
looks like im gonna try that mobo.

any thoughts
