Hello,
I owe IBM ThinkPad R51 with some kind of conexant built-in modem.
I would like to use windows' dialer to make voice phone calls, but this
modem does not allow voice functions... However, as far as I'm concerned
this is software modem. I'm not sure if I'm right, but its functionality
depends
therefore on software. Is there any way/idea/special driver for this modem
that could "activate" its voice advantages...? I've alredy found some driver
on some russian page but it failed to install.

Here's a thought. All one needs the modem to do is to dial the number,
then recede in the background and let u talk. Look for a shareware
dialer program and give it a try.
