OK so im getting a new PC a good one.lol Im i was think i could spend about £1000 on this. so i when on Scan, overclockers ect... and i relised for the things i wanted. it was going to cost too much so i looked at a few US site's and i could afford getting a fantastic system for under $1800 780i, 280 gtx ect...
but i was in my science class the other day and my teacher said that US voltage is different than ours (UK) so there producs will not work over here. hmmmmm i was just wondering if i could get a from my psu 3 pin power to 3 pin uk wall pulg and then everthing will be fine.

im a bit confused, can anyone here help?

Thanks danny

most pc power supplies have a voltage switch on the back to switch between 110v (US) and 230v (UK) if whatever system you have doesnt support this, you could just buy a uk power supply and switch it into your new system.

Bear in mind that you may get stung for VAT and import duty if you buy a system in america and bring it back to the UK... that could add 20-odd % to the american retail price.... Also it would be a lot harder to return any parts if they develop faults etc....
