Does Gen 3 support Ivy bridge? I mean it has to right? Ivy bridge, not sandy will support PCI-e 3.0. So is there a higher chance that a Gen 3 mobo will support Ivy Bridge? BTW, can anyone tell me the specs of the MSI Z68A-G43 (G3)? Newegg says its one thing, microcenter says its another. Also cannot find any reviews. Help's appreciated thanks.

i think guru3d did a review on that one. but without the availability of gen3 cards, the gen3 slot on the mobo cant be tested.

as most gen3 boards are on a z68 platform, i would say there is a higher chance that these will support IB.
major vendors like asus have already released beta bios for thei z68 and p67 mobos that have support for IB.

anyway, as of now, the gen3 slots are pretty useless for gpu's. as even 2x580 are not beyond 5% in a 8x/8x gen2 slots. maybe fast pcie ssd's can saturate this interface.
