my office pc

intel E7400 c2d 2.8ghz stock speed, stock cooler
asus G31 mb
2* 1gb ddr2 800 RAM
500 gb HDD
1366*768 monitor

i'm now using X3100 onboard graphic and i want to upgrade to dedicated graphic and i'm thinking of

-low power, low heat
-fanless (if possible)
-i'll use for internet surfing, movie watching, office works, and some games occasionally (CNC general, wow that all)

and i found the following cards, so plz give me comments and let me know which one is more powerful than the other.

The 5450 would be your best choice, but heads up, it's a PCI-Express 2.1 video card, meaning that if you have a motherboard with only a PCI-Express 1.0 slot, it's not going to work.

IF that's the case, then the 2nd best option would definitely be the 4550. If you do have a motherboard that has a PCI-Express 2.0 slot, then get the 5450.

I'm not sure how well those games will play, but they'll definitely play smoother than what you have now.

yes, i can play these games with low or medium setting but i got some pause in these games occasionally and sometimes duing window 7 office use.
my main concern is to ease that pause and my pc to work little more faster.

so adding a dedicated graphic will make my pc a little faster or not, i mean normal daily use, not the process dependent jobs like video encoding.

thanks
