I am looking to upgrade to a 5770 and would like some input since I am not a savvy pc builder. I currently have:

Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4
AMD Phenom II x4 940
G. Skill PI Black 4GB (DDR2) dual channel

I have found the HIS H577FK1GD Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB on newegg for $109 which seems very cheap for a 5770, but there are some mixed reviews. Also, not sure how HIS ranks among the manufacturers. Please critique or reccomend another card. Thanks!

HIS is a good brand. If you can get that for $110, do it, just make sure you have enough power in your Power Supply for it.

I will check my power supply when I get home. What are your thoughts on waiting for the price drop of other 5770 models after the release of the new 6000 series later this month?

I have an Antec Smart Power SP-500. The card suggest a 450w with 75w PCI-express connector. How do I know if the PCI-express is 75w?

It will be because PCIe is a standard, there are six pin (75w) and eight pin (150w).
