Chipsets + SB choice = headache

is there a way to demystify all these numbers easily. i was looking on asus's site (just cuz im an asus fan in terms of mobos) and all these combos are just giving me a headache.

i just want to make a sort of parallel jump (in terms of price and features, used pricing is a plus) from my current m2nSLI deluxe SLI mobo to a comparable crossfire (dual, not triple or quad) version. what should i be looking for if someone is more familiar with these things and can help me out easily. thanks!

Here's some reviews of asus boards: http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/05/11/asus_p8z68v_pro_z68_chipset_motherboard_review. Asus has a good variety of boards. I choose value over features, so I can't give you a good recommendation. But maybe these articles will help you sort out the differences.
