Dell 600m laptop overheating

Hi there,

I have a 600m with a 1.8GHz mobile processor, 512 ram and a 64mb 3d
card. During most use i have no problems and this is a great laptop.
However if i try and run a few simple games such as 'rise of nations' i
can get about 20-30 minutes of use before the CPU decides to drop power
back to aprox 500MHz.

I have tried changing the power settings to 'Always on' to no affect
and the 'puter is also raised to allow excellent ventilation under the
fan.

I've had this for about 6 months now and when i first got the 'puter it
was not having CPU issue with 'Rise of Nations'.
