Hey,

My parts from new egg just came in today.

My mobo is the ASrock gen3extreme3.

The ram I purchased for my build is the Skiill Sniper DDR3 1333 ram.

In a email today new egg had Ripjaw X DDR3 1600 ram for a cheap price.

My question is as follows. Am I fine with my ram? Is the difference between the 1600 ram and the 1333 ram huge? Im fresh back from a 5 year break building custom pcs so I am a little out of the loop. I tried to do research but found no definitive answer, though what I have found seemed as if the difference is not huge unless you plan on going crazy with over clocking. I may overclock a bit, but I want to become more familiar with my hardware and research overclocking more before I committed to doing that. Also, I am not really too concerned about the value or difference in price.

Other things to note. I purchased the Intel 2500k. In the near future I may upgrade to 16 gigs of ram, but for right now I think thats overkill.

Thank you very much :)

Solution
Not too much difference in performance. I downgraded to 1333 when upgrading to 16 gb of ripjawsX. I could have gotten the 1600 for ten dollars more, but didn't want to spend the money.
