Hi guys,
I need help in building a lowest possible budget PC for 3D gaming (not the highest end,but for a candy-eye). Sorry, dont hav a deep knowledge of PCs.so plz b nice.
- Went thru reviews & found that Quad-cores r not a must for 3D gaming. A 2 core (like C2D intel Exxx series) also can do good compared to a quad core. So which processor shud i choose (budget !) ?
- I m in india so, i cant find liquid cooling(i guess). So if overclocking is required, air cooling is possible (obviously cant OC too high on air). So a decent mobo required (scarcity of high-end mobos in country). CPU also according to air cooling.
- Can spend upto <180$ on GPU.
- Is a nice PSU must ?
- I hav searched for a used 21", 120 Hz, CRT monitor- HP1130 (dual I/p). But got no clue on how to use it for 3D.
Plz list out some coffigs,so that i cud choose among wats available.
Thanks in advance to u fantastics!

^thats what I heard, I put a poll up here actually because I was going to do a 3d build, but it was $500 for the monitor and glasses alone so I ended up building a way better system by dropping it.

848$ AR with 3d Vision Kit Bang For The Buck
thats not really going to be able to play anything with that GPU.
I had a gtx 470 SOC in my plan and didn't think I'd be able to run most games (with 1080p quality) after taking a 50% fps drop by using 3d.

ah yes yes I knew that hehe. I just wanted an LCD :p.
but just remember whatever benchmarks you look at for a specific graphics card, cut it in half to represent 3D fps.
(not 100% accurate because some games do a little better like Mafia 2 is a 30%-40% loss)

But after talking to people I didn't feel like getting it for a few reasons:
1. some people just said it wasn't very good so its not worth the $ for the glasses to me.
2. I play online allot so wearing a headset + glasses would be annoying.
3. Some games 3D works better than others.

I m planning a pc in few days, but it shud b good 3D supportive with an upgrade or buy in only GPU.but strong processor & mobo is must.got my problem?

Fine, if v leave 'Nvidia for gaming' thought. Can u still enjoy 3d stuff at PC? I mean, is 'nvidia vision' the dead end for 3d? 3d is an amazing thing even without Gaming.

Guys,what about a intel QUAD- Q9450. It has got a huge 12 Mb cache.ceems 2 b quite impressive.but dont know whether LGA775 wud b able 2 boost 3D graphics.
Can it compete with i series Quads?

But the price is like a bomb. Why is it so costly. Are the 4 cores going 2 help, coz most games use only 2 cores. Maybe an i series b a good choice- 2 cores phisically & 4 virtual cores. Anybody on 3D with an i3 or i5 ?
