WRT54G???

I am deciding to purchase a WRT54G and connect two of my computers through the WRT54G, and the WRT54G connect to my high speed modem. Is this the correct configuration to allow both computers access/share files, play multiplayer games, share cable internet? What kind of cable do I need to connect all this with? Thanks for the help!

if your using the wireless side of the the router then you dont need wires. lol
for the wired side get at least cat 5 cable. Cat 5e cable is better and most places the same price.
