Hi,

I wanted to know if there is an Intel based motherboard(preferably ATX) equivalent replacement to the DELL Y6281?

I don't recommend the board change if it still works and you're using your original dell windows installation. A non dell board will definately require a fresh windows install with new windows coa, which adds to your cost. Be sure to backup your old files first using windows 7 or one of the norton programs for older windows versions. For your old dell case, the power supply may be outdated and may also need to be replaced. So, if you live in the usa or canada, this package is a good value: http://www.newegg.com/Special/ShellShocker.aspx?cm_sp=ShellShocker-_-761446-_-11032011_1. You'll have new parts with a warranty. If you want low cost, just get the same board as a replacement on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B002VB0CIG/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used
