Time to upgrade!

My current system specs:

Q6600 Quad Core 2.4GHz
4 GBs of RAM (Vista 32 bit only recognizes 3.2GBs)
460w Cool Master Power Supply
8800 GT Nvidia 512 MB

I am looking to upgrade my video card. I am worried my system may be bottle necked, and a Video Card won't help much. What do you think?

I have never built a computer before.

I am wondering if I would be able to transfer the components in my current case into a gaming case. My Computer: http://support.gateway.com/s/PC/R/1009570/1009570nv.sht...

I have overheating problems with my computer, right now. I have one of the sides off for extra cooling which creates a ton of dust.

I am also looking to add a more powerful video card, so it will only get hotter.

The case I am looking at:

This way I can upgrade in the near future. Kinda torn between a mid or full tower as well any idea?

I doubt you'll need a full tower case.
A mid tower case is usually more then enough for all but the most hardcore users.
The Antec 902v3 is an excellent choice.
Some might say overkill for your components but a good case is always a worthwhile investment.
You'll always have it for future build.
You could save some dough and buy a good $90 case and get a better gpu.
A 5770 or 460 would be a better investment then the GTS 450.
You have a cheap mislabelled psu that probably isn't much better then the unit that came with your prebuilt.

It will undoubtedly run your system but i would set aside some funds for an upgrade in the future.

Will I be able to transfer all my components over without a problem?

I am looking to buy tonight, I just need confirmation that everything I have will be able to go into a new case. (Nothing integrated)

That question is best left to someone with more experience then myself.
Pertaining to front panel connections and an oem mobo .
