I don't know much about video cards. The game my son wants to play says it needs "Video card with 128 MB or more memory and one of the following chipsets is required: ATI x1300 or greater | NVIDIA 6600 or greater | DirectX 9.0c compatible card with Shader Model 3.0 support". The card I have is: "SPARKLE SFPC84GS256U2LP GeForce 8400 GS 256MB 64-bit GDDR2 PCI HDCP". Does my card meet the requirements? The computer only has PCI slots so it limits me to what I can upgrade to!
It's NBA 2k11. Yes, I know I really need a PCI Express slot but I don't really want to buy a new computer. I realize it will probably run a little slow on this computer but that's OK. How do I know how my card compares to the requirements?
I've just had a quick check of some of the cards I have lying around and the PCI does have two slots in it and the PCIe also has two slots but has a locking tab at the rear of the card, sorry about that. Still, run GPUz just to make sure that we get the right interface sorted.
