Crysis warhead fps on my hd 5670?

these are the options i configured in fraps while benchmarking:
benchmark settings:
FPS-checked
Frametimes-unchecked
MinMaxAvg-unchecked
Stop bench after 60 sec-unchecked

i'm mentioning all this coz i'm unfamiliar with fraps,so sorry

now in upper left corner, most of times, fps was 40-45,which went to 60-65 for a very few times
settins:
1280*1024
no AA
it doesn't have AF
All settings on mainstream which you can say is between low-medium

My system is:
intel c2duo e4500 2.2ghz
2gb kingston RAM
Sapphire hd 5670 512mb at factory clocks
intel dg33fb mobo
250 gb seagate barracuda

NOW,are these FPS not low?
if yes,WHY?

More about crysis warhead 5670
  1. 40-45 fps at 1280x1024 with HD5670 is quite good framerate, your score is normal.
But, IF you can, OC your CPU a little bit, above 2.5GHz perhaps then i'm pretty sure that you will gain more fps with your low resolution... :)

but have a look at this review of tomshardware:
    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-5670,2533-8.html
it says a min of 42,and avg of 65
while mine is opposite to that.
  3. ^ the problem he's got a very very vanilla intel mobo. i doubt the usefulness of the oc options on that board.

Those benchmarks were done with custom setting which generally means low.Crysis benchmark is less demanding than crysis gameplay.

at the end of review, the guy have written that he did it with low-medium settings, which is mainstream in crysis warhead.
and what's the concept behind this line:Crysis benchmark is less demanding than crysis gameplay,i have done it with fraps.
  5. I'm not clear on your question or complaints ?
Your fps look pretty good for that combination.
Fraps also takes some overhead, I've noticed it with a 4ghz quad/4 gb ram.
Do you think your scores should be higher or lower , :)

Are you playing warhead or original crysis? And how you can tell which setting was kept at medium and which at low by just looking at that benchmark?

i have already written in the heading that it's crysis warhead not crysis......
and you didn't answer about:Crysis benchmark is less demanding than crysis gameplay.what's the concept?i'm using fraps

i'm saying scores should be higher.

Then why you are comparing your result with those done by Tom.Warhead and crysis are completely different.Crysis comes with a benchmark.

The reason i said that becoz people can get 51flps average in crysis benchmark using veryhigh setting but when they play the game it becomes almost impossible to reach that average framerate because when you are playing the game your gpu and cpu has process A.I,real time explosion, vehicle textures ect. which reduces your framerate. While in benchmark those elements are just missing.

thank you very much for your useful info.i'm selecting you the best answer
